Gomes has done exactly what the Braves asked him to do this year… Help A.J mentor the young players. He was never expected to be a huge contributor. But I like the guy and hope he can be sent to a contender to finish the season

It makes absolutely no sense at all, but I can’t help but wishing Boston would bring back Gomes.

It would make sense if Boston could make a Ramirez-for-Gomes swap with the Braves taking on Hanley’s salary and unique karma.

Appears like Hosmer is actually turning into a bit of that Votto type I thought he might have in him.
Lance
doesn’t have Votto power. Seems more like Keith Hernandez, John Olerud type…good average, medium power/RBI potential.

The frustrating part about Hosmer is he DOES have Votto power. When the guy hits home runs they go 450 ft. He just hasn’t been able to put it together for a full season (to be seen if he ever will). I could easily see a career year in Kauffman something along the lines of .320 and 30-35 home runs.
