I seriously hope they make at least a couple of trades this offseason. Whether it’s prospects or mlb players, I hope Bridich makes one worth noting

I’d like to see Reyes moved without a doubt. He doesn’t want to be in Colorado and we need to see what we have in Trevor Story. Maybe a CarGo deal also if we are blown away, but don’t trade him just to trade him. I could also be on board for couple of minor deals involving guys like Rosario (if he isn’t just non-tendered), Hundley, Axford, and even JDLR. But don’t move Arenado or LeMahieu. The Rockies have been searching for a good 2B since the beginning of the franchise. Now we have one.

No one is giving up anything for Rosario, he would have been gone 2 months ago if anyone was willing to do so.
Reyes with a negative value contract will not bring back anything worth while, and if the team pays 1/2 the contract, that’s $20 M for him to play elsewhere for 2 seasons. Not exactly Momforts MO.
LaMaheiu is one of the few players with surplus value. A top 10 2B will have value with control. His value will never be higher, he should be dealt, for best SP prospect they can get.

They’ll eat whatever they have to to move Reyes. It’s just the (delayed) price for moving Tulo for three good prospects. Got nothing to do with Reyes himself. Whoever bids highest (covers the most of Reyes’ salary) gets him for free.

“though he clearly believes Colorado won’t suffer multi-decade struggles like those two teams.”
Newsflash for our GM, the Rockies are well into their third decade of mostly struggling. Three playoff trips in 22 years is certainly not a successful franchise.

Nothing like the Pirates though.

It is impossible to replicate the Pirates or Royals without struggling for years. Just look at the high draft picks that litter their rosters. Why any team would want to take that long to rebuild is beyond me, but that has to be their thinking to consider copying those two teams, or Houston.

Sounds like Weiss is gone. Which is fine, although I don’t think he’s particularly to blame for the team’s woes.

Feels like the Rockies have to move Cargo. He regained value finally and they might be able to land a few decent prospects for him

Walt Weiss has to go! He has no idea what he is doing out there. Terrible at managing a bullpen
