Here is to hoping the Bucs can sign Happ to a 2-3 year deal this winter. Would be nice to have him in the rotation with Burnett done and may be a more stable option than Morton and Locke to back up Cole and Liriano.

Totally agree. He should not cost more per year than Burnett. Bucs should have extra money if they replace Walker and Alvarez with Hanson and Bell.

Huntington, Searage, and Jim Benedict deserve most of the credit for the Pirates success. Ownership needs to lock up these guys for life.

Thinking Benedict must have gotten something good for him to take himself out of a pitching coach position with the Phillies earlier in the year. He had been rumored for other jobs as well. I am with you. Searage is more old school in the way he coaches. Many of the newer coaches want pitchers to throw only specific pitches in specific situations. Makes no difference if the pitcher can even throw the pitch let alone command it. Ray is more of what can you do and what is working today and lets go with that. Gives the guys confidence in what they do throw and it shows on the field. Huntington has made many more good decisions than poor since he has been on the job. Like you said keep em all!
