Not only do they need to develop some home grown pitching. They need some left handed pitching. There is not a single potential MLB caliber LHP in this system above Class A.

You’re forgetting Josh Hader who they acquired at the trade deadline. I know it is only one but it’s better than nothing.

I believe Jed Bradley still has potential, Co Springs stats don’t provide a true look at value.

Dealing Lucroy should give the team a couple of those players that are needed. Though it does then open up the catcher of the future issue. Which seems to be one of the more difficult to fill in the league

They don’t need to deal Lucroy. Right now they have 4 legit 25 HR bats in their 2016 lineup: Braun, Davis, Lind and Santana. The had the two best starters in the Southern League in Jorge Lopez and Tyler Wagner and added two other top arms in the Houston deal, one who is a lefty who are also at AA. Orlando Arcia is a legit top 10 prospect in all of baseball, and will be the SS in Milwaukee by Memorial Day next season. Many suggest he’s a better prospect than Addison Russell.
This negative article on the Brewers is a bunch of bunk. The new Brewer GM will inherit a very healthy situation.

#1 is by far and away the biggest Need. #2 & 3 really don’t matter in the present since they are not going to compete next season, or possibly the year after either way. Get #1 right and the rest should fall into place. Get #1 wrong and the Brewers may be bad for 5 or more years still.
