Who might place a bid?
Out of place Met fan
I think many (most) teams will place a bid, especially after Kang’s success. How many teams place an acceptable bid, and what amount is, are the questions

Agreed… The performance of Jung Ho may really have opened the eyes of a lot of teams as an untapped market.

Lefty, good OBP, 28 next season, I could see him go to Royals, Astros(a disciplined LH bat to replace Rasmus would fit perfectly in their lineup), Orioles, maybe Seattle… Someone could get a steal considering the price for other lefty OF(Heyward, Gordon, Fowler, Rasmus…). Hope he pans out.

Son will not get much interest. He has not attracted many scouts at his games despite increased attention at the players in KBO. I can see the winning bid at around 2-3 million range, if not lower.
He has shown elite contact and on-base skills in KBO, which are not guaranteed to translate to MLB due to his lack of power. In addition, despite his excellent speed he does not steal lots of bases. Defensively, he has a strong and accurate arm, but he will strictly be a corner outfielder at MLB level due to his lack of range (he played mostly RF in KBO).
From what I see, his ceiling is Nori Aoki or Gregor Blanco (minus CF).
