Why does everyone always call madson “the former phillies closer”? He was shaky at best in the role for the phils (for basically one season), but he was a top notch setup man.

I’m hoping the Royals pass on Soria and consider shelling out 20m a year for 3 years to Iwakuma — most of the current roster hits the market after 2017, so having a solid front line SP like him can help them contend for two more years at least.
