No O’s – physical wisecracks?
I’m disappointed!

What is funny about it is the Orioles have only failed one player in Balfour and he ended up hurt so they were right

Wish baseball wasn’t about the money, love Alex Gordon and he I wish he would stay with the royals. He’s done so much, drafted by them and they kept him even when he was playing like crap. Moved him to the outfield and helped him be the player he is now. It’s just stupid and ridiculous that baseball and agents are about money

So in a profession with limited qualified personnel, and a very short career window; you believe it is stupid and ridiculous to try and maximize ones earnings?
A bit unrealistic

Agree

Hard to believe the Royals after going to back 2 back world series and winning one can not even make an offer that is suitable enough for Gordon to take a home town discount on just completely low balling him might as well have handed him a sign that says get out you are old.
timyanks
the only place gordon could give a home town discount to would be Lincoln Nebraska
Niekro
oh cool I doubt the saltdogs are making an offer though

Very interesting story on the Iwakuma signing. Throws quite a bit of light on the concept of a player “failing” a medical exam.

Wish the Rangers would sign Cespedes. That would be a scary good lineup–and with the best pitching the Rangers have ever had too.

As an Astros fan, I hope the only free agent they sign is Chris Davis, as they clearly need a first base upgrade. I know that Jeff Luhnow is also looking for another starter, but I just don’t see anyone on the pitching list as a clear upgrade to our current players. Kazmir is marginally better than Feldman, maybe – he didn’t pitch better than Feldman in August and if Feldman hadn’t been hurt in Sep, he may have been the 5th starter over Kazmir. And I have no belief that Gallardo or Chen are any better either. I’m fine with our current starting staff of Dallas Keuchel, Collin McHugh, Lance McCullers, Mike Fiers and Scott Feldman.
