Jennings played for the Marlins, before coming over during the 2014-5 off-season to the White Sox.

well.. hmm.. as bad as Locke was last year, worth keeping around another year at that price to see if he can get back to what lead him to the all-star game and with a better right side of the infield…

Always liked Valencia in Toronto. The As seem formiddble this year, lets hope that old saying, “those pesky As” stays true this season.
TheMichigan
Valencia is basically the typical (and yes I know it’s the money ball stereotype with the As) money ball guy, he was on a short salary and produced for them greatly and now with lawire gone he’s now the stationed 3b man

That however is the issue with Valencia… He’s not a 600 PA sort of guy.
stormie
Based on last season, he can be a 600 PA guy. He was always considered a platoon guy because he couldn’t hit RHP, but last year he hit them and hit them hard.

That would be an amusing sales pitch to possible season ticket market s. Selling the Pesky A’s.
No Soup For Yu!
Bryan Morris’ projection was for $1.1 million, not $1.35 million.

It’s amazing that Valencia got DFA’d with the stats he had last year
JT19
It was all a numbers crunch by the Jays. I think it was when they got Revere, it came down to DFA Valencia or Colabello, and Colabello’s numbers were actually better. Since teams knew they were going to DFA Valencia anyway, they probably weren’t willing to trade for him and hope they could just claim him.
BoldyMinnesota
Ya I remember villanelle was in like a 7 for 50 slump at the time and I couldn’t believe he wasn’t the one gone. But I guess that worked out good for us
bravesfan88
I believe he was designated for assignment due to his poor attitude.
Apparently, from what I think I remember reading, management must have thought Valencia’s attitude was so bad, that they rather go ahead and get rid of him, rather than let him stay on the team one more day.
I’m wondering though, what did he do or say that was so terrible, that lead to the team deciding to immediately release him rather than trade him and get back some value??
I mean you would have to think that Valencia could have, at the absolute least, netted them some cash or a fairly decent prospect or two…
It certainly makes you scratch your head…
BoldyMinnesota
I seen someone saying that and I don’t think it’s true. The other players seemed to like him and he fit in with his liking of Barcelona. I’m pretty sure it was because he could basically only play 3rd and left and he obviously wasn’t going to get much time
TheMichigan
He played 1st and RF in the past

I don’t know if it’s just the app bugging out or what, but the title says that the Twins signed Tommy Milone, the picture is of Brett Lawrie, but there’s nothing about either of them in the actual content of the article.
Diablo 2

James7430
No kidding. WTH is going on?
