Boesch was drafted, and played in the Majors, for current Sox president Dave Dombrowski

Every team that he has played for, shows that he just can hit anymore after leaving Detroit.

He can join Allen Craig in “Boston’s AAA outfielders who used to be good MLB players but somehow forgot how to hit MLB pitching by their early 30’s” club.

I can’t believe they left Jorge Marban off the invited to camp list. The guy they found in the Aussie league last winter who throws 95+ with a filthy splitter.
Nearly the the non roster pitchers are nothing but recycled retreads with -0- chance of helping anything, other than Roman Mendez. Marban has dominated since he joined the Sox at both high A and AA ball. Just 27, Let the kid show what he can do.
Some of those retreads, like Sullivan’s track record is that of a trashy starter who can’t get anyone out. Marban could actually be a mid-late inning reliever some day, just like Pat Light.

Boesch is a good clubhouse guy who works hard and has the potential to be a star. Dead pull left handed hitter too. This is a low risk move by the Sox with potentially high rewards. Good luck BB!

Star???? Where????
Michael Macaulay-Birks
He’s a good guy who won’t crack the major-league roster this year, even Alan Craig is further up the food chain that he will be, he does have a sweet swing for Fenway though
