He may also serve as minor league inventory – minor league “inventory” is there anything not absolutely offensive about this designation ?
geejohnny
Agree. The word depth is usually used there. Baseball is truly a business.

Most things labeled as “inventory” are probably smarter and can play better outfield than Domonic Brown.
iamrightyouarewrong
still, doesn’t mean that inventory should be offended.
Yogajonny
With Lake, Ceciliani, etc. Cola will definitely not see any time in the OF this year. Lol.

Green Monster, you one of those people who is offended by everything?
greenmonster08
Absolutely not, just the opposite, it’s just that I think of human beings in deferent terms than I would what’s in my warehouse or on the selling floor at Crazy Kelly’s discount carpets. Just a poor choice of words for me.

I’m glad someone finally did.
Bob M.
There is something there. He will have to work. Maybe he becomes a platoon player, but his glove really holds him back from retaining any value if he doesnt hit.

Was supposed to be part of the Halliday trade but Phillies didn’t want to part with him then? Jays finally get their man. A little late and a lot less hype. But agreed. Nice inventory and maybe a change of scenery will tap into the hidden potential.

……….maybe a change of scenery will tap into the hidden potential.
Yes, dogriver; and let’s not forget Jacoby, who is a master of getting the best out of his hitters.

Kind of reminds me of when Edwin Encarnacion went there and everyone thought he was done.

So disappointing :/ years ago I used to be so hype about Michael Taylor and Dom Brown as the next two big things in philly and well….we all know how great that worked out, at the time I was upset the Phillies traded off so many prospects but only darnaud has been somewhat successful so at least they haven’t been haunted by past trades
iamrightyouarewrong
Took him years to get it together, but Carlos Carrasco has actually turned into a good mid rotation starter as well.
Mike Timlincecum
Jake Arrietta too
koldjerky
Arrieta was never in the Phillies system.

I just hope the Blue Jays get better production than the Phillies did with this gentlemen. He was not a good outfielder who did not always have his head in the game.
