Duensdog is good. He’ll do well. He got hosed in the face by the Twins coaches. It was bad, blood everywhere. Hosed right in the face.

That’s a little bit of an exaggeration but he never really got a fair shake as a starter and wasn’t utilized very well out of the pen.

How?

Surely you’ve heard the story of the fire hose in the spring of 2012 down in Fort Myers.

Have to admit K.C. really outdid everyone with their Minor League deals with invites. Gee/Snider/Duensing/Barmes/Ohlendorf all quality players with a solid chance to make the big league team.

K.C. & Pittsburgh have both brought in a pretty impressive group of minor league free agents to browse and choose from in their camps this year. Their track record of recent success in reshaping guys careers will only continue to confirm that guys will sign in places like this is the attempt to re-establish their careers.

Royals should see at least one of them make the team. The rest may well be stock-piled at Omaha to wait for an injury which every team endures. I haven’t seen if any if these guys have out clauses if not on the big league roster by ( pick a date) .

Last season I was really hoping the Twins would move on from Duensing, however in wishing that I was wanting the Twins to sign someone better. Seeing that Terry Ryan didn’t sign anyone at all, I’m really going to miss him this season. Just when I thought the bullpen couldn’t get much worse, the Twins FO makes it happen by failing to make any meaningful signings and hoping that a pen that needed several more arms can somehow be better with several less.

Yeah, subtracting Duensing isn’t much of an improvement on what’s far and away the weakest part of this team.

Have Terry Ryan talk to Neal Huntington about how to build a bullpen…NH is truly masterful at it! You can put together a top 5 bullpen year in and year out, and all it will cost will be the equivalent of buying 7 packs of Roasted Chicken flavored Ramen Noodles and a dozen or so packets of grape Kool-Aid…and not even the name brand stuff…like the generic “Value Time” brand that costs like $0.09 per packet! LOL you might also have to hide a check for $5.00 in each of there lockers too!!! Ya know, just like your Grandma used to do before you left there house after not visiting for a while! Lol!
