The Yankees should have taken a shot on Fister. Their starting pitching has to many question marks. If Fister has a bounce back year that would mean everything to the Astros. They can win that division.

I can’t believe Fister’s stock fell as far as it did with his track record. Pelfrey got 2/16 and he got 1/7 incentives.

Shocking that, in a climate where Mike Pelfrey easily snags a multi-year deal and Ian Kennedy gets an insane multi-year deal (from a small market team who also had to give up a draft pick), Fister could only get 1/$7MM. Fister needs a better agent or something. No surprise that Boras represents both Pelfrey and Kennedy.

I’ve never understood why we all bother with the “looks to rebound” and “hopes for a comeback year” stories. Of course he wants to rebound – that way he can bring in a fat paycheck this upcoming winter.

While I know it’s common practice to have a gun held to your head and being forced to read articles from a website about baseball trade rumors and news, I think they might spare those few bullets if you were to skip past these types of articles.
Maybe I’m wrong (I like to roll the dice), but skipping over them or “pretending” to read them would probably not end in your untimely demise for not reading these types of articles. But, I guess it depends on just how diabolical that person holding the gun really is.
Enjoy the other articles!

I think he should have taken a one year deal in the nl with a team like the Pirates! Hope things turn out for him I own him in a dynasty league.
