Travis’ Wood
Yikes. That’s all I have to say about that
Melvin McMurf
you know your team is desperate when they sign………
Brucellosis
Agreed. I know quality pitching is hard to find at times, but you should be able to do better than this. I know he pitched in Colorado last year, but he led the league in number of earned runs and home runs while only throwing 142 innings!!!
Ace of Spades
This is depth for our depth. Hopefully he doesn’t see the bigs
Kingmojo101
It’s a meh signing, at least he hasn’t topped out at 80 mph.

MLBTraderumors Poetry Corner… “Oh to have been born a lousy pitcher, I’d be millions and millions of dollars richer” thank you.
ryanw-2
Well alrighty then.

Nice to know they want sub par starters in AAA too.
Philliesfan4life
Kendrick can be a good pitcher, he’s a ground ball pitcher which he would work with the angels defense.

Ik it was in Colorado, but he gave up the most homers in the league last year with a 38% ground ball rate. Personally, I have no problem ever with any minor league deal, so it’s ok for the Angels I guess, but he’s really not a good pitcher at all anymore (if he ever really was one in the first place)
Philliesfan4life
He was solid for the phillies a couple years, his final year I think he put up good numbers. If he can throw his sinker and his two seamer then he can be a solid pitcher.
aff10
He’s OK for depth, but at this point in his career, I’m fairly certain that the Angels want him to stay in Salt Lake City for the whole year. Not a guy you really want to rely on
stymeedone
25 days to make it official either shows a lot of interest on the Angels part, or shows that Kendrick exhausted all other options before signing.

Very true!

As a Phillies fan, all I can say is for years my only thought when he would take the mound would be, “well, we’re gonna lose this one.”
Melvin McMurf
Well, he won his first game. 4 ER, 3Hrs, 6IP
