Nice interview. As a fan it’s great to have the front office we do. Right up to ownership. Thanks for your dedication Rob!

It’s not like I don’t vehemently disagree with some of Terry Ryan and Bill Smith’s transactions sometimes, but I’d rather have what we have than a revolving door in the FO and tinkering owners.
Pohlads actually get a bad rap IMO… most of that from Carl and the debacles with contraction and Victory Sports Net fifteen years ago (and I think contraction was mostly a bargaining chip for the MLB going into the first CBA negotiation since the strike).
The Twins organization stagnates occasionally but I’ll take that over a Loria roster binge-purge cycle any day.

MLBTR – I’m really enjoying these GM/college articles. At first, I was unsure but have enjoyed them all.
YourDaddy
Hey guys, have you noticed you are getting 0-2 comments on these articles. That is because practically no one wants to see them. They break up the flow of articles that we do want to see on MLB TRADE Rumors and they are LONG. Maybe if you broke them up. Show 300 characters and then put an “if you want to see more” link on the article.

I partly agree. I mean personally I don’t think it’s that big a deal to scroll past it, but it’s definitely not why I’m here, especially as they are not even interviews that are really relevant to the site. They are lining up all these GMs that we could be getting great insight from concerning the front office process and instead asking them a bunch of boring questions about their college life. Shame.

To each his own, but if this series actually made you stop coming to the site, that would just be weird. It’s something additional – if you dig it, good, and if you don’t, you can ignore it. It’s not as if we’re eliminating other rumory content we were going to do – there’s nothing going on in April.

Someone wise once said, haters are going to hate, hate, hate, hate, hate.

If MLBTR wants to expand it’s audience, it needs to do more than be an aggregator for trade rumors. Original content is a key part of Tim keeping this site profitable (and hence operating), lest he be made obsolete by a simple RSS feed.
I only read maybe 1 in 25 original content pieces. But the 24 I’m not interested in take all of one second to scroll past.

Original content is good. I’d just go on Twitter if all I cared about was seeing who got DFAed today.

Well, I vote I like the special features and if I skip over them on the fly (normally I’m on the phone app) I usually come back and read them when I’m sitting at home on my computer. They’re fun to read and we’ve gotten some glimpses at the more human side of the game. Keep it up!
One suggestion, though — Maybe the articles longer than 300 words can have pictures of race cars, explosions, and partially clothed females, to keep the attention of people who can’t stand to read for more than 45 seconds at a time.
