This year has gotten everyone hurt

Doesn’t that burn an extra option if a player does not remain on the roster of the before optioned team for at least 15 days?
Steve Adams
Only one option can be used per season. There’s a rule that states a player must spend at least 10 days in the Minors before he can be recalled again, but it’s waived in the case of injuries, so the Dodgers are free to bring him back to fill Wood’s spot.

TY Steve. Have meant to ask, or look up for years exact penalty (if was) for that.

Thanks for asking this- I wondered the same myself. And thanks to Steve for answering.

Your no less a man Caleb. Thinking about that injury makes me hurt.

Just the most painful thing ever. Leaning on a bar here in England and crossing my legs as I think about it.

Giants need to look for pitching help… A starter and reliever

Iiwakuma is smelling purt good right now……Dogers are an example of over reliance on data cutting….such an overrated and overhyped ball club.

If Perkins can get back and be the good Perkins and not the awful Perkins, it would really be a boost to the Twins pen. He has some time to build trade value before the deadline, too, but I highly doubt Terry Ryan shops him around.
notagain27
Trade for Perkins? Who in their right mind would trade for him? He hasn’t been in shape for a few years and can’t stay healthy.

A point of order… With Wood on the 15-day it doesn’t seem like there’s any question about whether Urias gets his second start, only a matter of which day, depending on Maeda. Either way it happens, Urias is stepping into the rotation for Wood.

Was hoping Munor could return to old Atlanta form.

I think it’s a shame Wood got hurt. He seemed to have finally started to pitch like the guy they traded for. But j am happy they brought back Urias, I think if you look at history with the kid, he always starts off slow at each time up to a new level Ana gets better and better with each start at that level. Give him a few starts and see what he does. If he proves he can stick up here then if Ryu ever comes back stick Stripling in the bullpen and get rid of Hatcher then when Wood comes back put Urias in the bullpen to limit his innings and send Baez down. Those moves would drastically make the starting rotation and bullpen better. And if McCarthy ever comes back then you have a good problem in your hands, if Wood and Kazmir are still doing better as they seem to getting to the point then go with a 6 man rotation. Would benefit every starter in that rotation since they all are having injury issues besides Kershaw.
