Looking forward to watching Gallo in Texas. Great to hear the strikeout rate is down.
Samuel
Mazara is the spittin’-image of Jason Heyward. Only right now, he’s better then Heyward. Let’s see what the future brings.
GeauxRangers
He won’t ever be the threat on the base paths that Heyward has been but I think he will be a better all around hitter than Heyward. He has been very impressive in the field as well
CursedRangers
DeShields needs to be sent down to the minors for a bit. He looks lost at the plate and on the bases. He had a great year last year, but isn’t clicking so far this year.

He’s not even close to the same as heyward. They aren’t the same kind of player. Heyward is a speedy get on base kind of player, in which Mazara is probably the second slowest player on the Rangers team. Don’t get me wrong I believe he is incredible and will likely stay in the majors as well. Hopefully we can move Choo back to LF because his arm isn’t as good. With Desmond in CF the Rangers also wouldn’t have a defensive liability in CF. not that I don’t like Deshields, but we’ve got the run support from Desmond and odor is looking good in the lead off spot. When Choo is back also, it gives Mazara a chance to be in more of a Run producing spot in the lineup. Talk about a lineup. Beltre, fielder, Mazara, Moreland, Desmond. Hopefully he continues to show he is a major league hitter.
GeauxRangers
Fielder, Beltre, Moreland, and all of our catchers are certainly slower than him. He has probably average speed.

I mean if you watch mazara dig in at the plate for the first time, you definitely say that’s Jason heyward. but height and starting stance is pretty much where the similarities end. Abreu has been the long standing mazara comp and I think that’s pretty close as far as plate approach. disciplined hitters with above average to very good pop, silky left handed swing planes. Abreu obviously had much more speed as a young player.

What are they gonna do with Hamilton? Probably trade him to the Braves so they soak up his contract.
GeauxRangers
You know the Rangers are paying basically none of his contract right?

Desmond in center??
