05/10/16 – 11:00AM ET: “The Arizona Diamondbacks have signed Tim Lincecum to a 2 year/$25 million contract. Dave Stewart confirmed the signing.” Just kidding.
Math&Baseball
He would go 2 year $25 mill too. Its so believable its scary.
dbacksrs
I can see him actually getting that much money, but it would have to be based on incentives. The way pitching is nowadays (very expensive), someone is really going to overpay on him. Just hope it really is not the Diamondbacks.

If the Dbacks signed lincecum for 25m they would be the drunkest organization in the world. His worth is way below that.

How are Grienke and Miller doing again?! Drunk! They are on Magic Mushrooms Mate

Well Baltimore needs a (good) starter and DD knows it..Lincecum himself said that he “has no preferences” as to where he signs ,..sooo unless Tim is lying, Dan is. Here’s the truth – Buck Showalter doesn’t like pitchers shorter than about 6-3″ ..Its a well documented bias. .Hes on record with how much he thinks that matters (“the angle” or something) .Look at all the Orioles pitchers – .the shortest is Tyler Wilson and he’s 6’0″ and it was like pulling teeth to get Showalter to give him a few starts .. So,, much as Lincecum could help the Orioles, and much as the Orioles could afford to pay Lincecum at this point (based on money they were known to be willing to spend but didn’t, ala the Dexter Folwer f-up) …It appears Bucks idiosyncratic theory’s will hurt Orioles chances (again)

Lincecum hasn’t been particularly good in five seasons, 2013 was “okay” but nothing to write home about. That’s a pretty significant sample size.

Seems like DD is all but saying it’s down to Angels, Padres, or Giants, although I’m not sure that the Giants need a starter just yet. They just need Panik, Duffy, and Crawford to get a little healthier and start hitting again
Cam
The Giants absolutely need a starter – Cain and Peavy have been disastrous.

Let’s not forget Timmy’s hometown 9, the Mariners.

But if Lincecum could choose between relief or starting, he’d pick starting, right? There’s no open path to a starting job in Seattle right now.
