Are we done doing the Tuesday and Thursday MLBTR chats?
Jeff Todd
Steve did one today (well, yesterday, I guess). I’ll do one Thursday. Wasn’t able to last week b/c I’m in the middle of moving.

Hope the move went well. Yesterday broke my streak of questions answered in chat, must not have asked anything interesting. HahA

Looked like Maeda got a little leather on that come backer.and very possibly saved himself a broken leg.

Matt Cain is a true gentleman and plays the game the right way. No showboating, no arrogance, just plays.
After he threw his perfect game I was staying in the same hotel as him and while I’m usually too shy to talk to famous people I couldn’t help but say “hey Matt I just want to say congratulations on your perfect game”. Instead of just staying “thanks” and letting it go he stuck out his hand and said “thank you so much” and shook my hand. A lot of people are germophobes and won’t shake strangers hands but he offered his up and just made a this fan a fan for life and that small act showed me that what you see from Cain on the field is what you get off the field.
I truly hope he continues his career and continues to fight because the game needs gentlemen like him and as strange as it seems, there are a lot of players that would never have the politeness of Cain and many that do.. I want the good guys like him to be the role models for our kids.

Really nice story, thanks for sharing it. Class acts are few and far between in pro sports.
