That Jonny Venters situation is a tough one. He was such a dominant reliever when he was healthy. I’d say this is it for him. I can’t imagine him going for a fourth TJ.
Jwick22
Really hate to hear that about venters. If he does decide to have his 4th tj that will be pretty much 6 years of surgery and rehab. Can’t imagine how frustrating that could be. Good luck either way. That back end of the braves bullpen was awesome to watch
RunDMC
Oh Jonny. Sorry to hear that. My arm hurts just thinking about that.

I wanna cry
dlevin11
Feel bad for Jonny. A fourth TJ surgery is a big decision.
MLB_in_the_Know
The only realistic thing in this post is your use of “farce”.
Jwick22
Maybe bleacher creature is just trolling us hard? No way this is real life

No one wants to read walls of text, Chris. Please come up with a more succinct point for people to actually engage in.

Go away!!!!!
BoldyMinnesota
So since the braves scored 9 runs (which every team does a handful of time), LA’s gonna give them trout. Gotcha
thecoffinnail
Since Fernandez was rocked for 9 runs I guess that makes Teheran the superior pitcher now?
TradeAcuna
Don’t know if i should feel more bad for Venters or this guy?!
JFactor
There is no trout trade that makes sense for the Angels in realty
Pedro Cerrano's Voodoo
Are you literate?

Lol

At this point, venters having a fourth surgery has to be to the point that no damage can be healed
bravesfan 7
I hate that you’re a braves fan
A'sfaninUK
Why do you do this to yourself? You could be outside, gardening.

Jonny Venters, the ballad of the perpetual thrower who threw his arm off and never figured out how to actually pitch plays for you and only you. Four TJs? He never should have gotten to this point so far being this stupid and doing the wrong thing over and over again.
c
You’re a moron.
Venters knew how to pitch, his arm just didn’t hold up. TJS has a less than 100% recovery rate, and he’s one of those guys that was never really able to come back from it. These things happen. He didn’t do anything wrong, the ligament just wouldn’t hold.

Mike trout to the Reds for Bryan price and then you got a good deal

Yo you are crazy about that stuff Chris. And it wasn’t the braves who would get 25th pick for Tex, it was the Yankees who signed Tex and gave up that picked that the Angels got for him. And the Yankees really wanted trout in the draft that year, they hoped that angels would passed him but didn’t. Learn the sport man. Think realistically about the packages you had to give up, don’t be one of those fans who thinks they’ll get everyone on their team.

Chris815,
I bet you live in a state where weed is legal. Only explanation for your “trade”.
Poor Jonny V, I’d sue Fredi G if I was him.
davidcoonce74
Arody Vizcaino? Hector Olivia? Who are these people?
But seriously
Literally, every single player you listed would not be enough for Mike Trout if they were even packaged together in an 18-1 trade. There’s like five players in this proposed trade that have negative value – markakis, Olivera, Banuelos, Headley, Bedrosian.
I mean, I almost think these trades are trolling, but they’re entertaining as hell and you obviously put some due diligence into it, so keep them coming.
BoldyMinnesota
They’re obviously trolling
Sam.rhodes16
Disagree that banuelos has negative value. He’s a pre-arb lefty who could be a solid, if not more than solid, bullpen piece right now at a pre-arb price. He’s no Chapman, but let’s not pretend he has no value.

When is Boston going to figure out that Buchholts is done and needs to be released or traded…. They need some arms if they plain to make it to the playoffs….
Cam
Has there been a case of four TJ’s before, or could this be brand new territory?
Clearly, the poor guy just wants to pitch.
thecoffinnail
The fact that you put Freeman in the #3 spot and Trout in #4 shows how little you truly know about the game. Take some of this enormous amount of free time you have and see who gets more at bats in an average year, the #3 hitter or the #4.
