While I understand that Boxberger will be arbitration eligible, it would also seem that missing almost the entire season will keep his price down. I would be surprised to see Tampa Bay sell low.

No real reason for Pollock to come back this year. An extended rehab at AA and AAA with maybe a September call up makes sense so he can get some momentum towards 2017 but the team is done and you don’t want to risk another injury.

From everything I’ve seen, they’re proceeding extremely cautiously (as they obviously should). Only way he plays this year is if everything in his rehab goes smoothly

Let pollock play in 2017, really no need to rush him back to a team that isn’t going anywhere this year

Best case scenario for the Rays is boxberger pitches well in relief for the remainder of the season and they can move him in the offseason. Had pretty good success last season as the closer, but with Colome pitching so well, can’t see Box being named the closer next year. A boras candidate like himself will want to close, so a trade makes sense.
