Dodgers really need to get Bruce. Going to be disappointed if they don’t get him or another big bat in the outfield.

Jocketty is a moron. So many bad decisions since he’s been with the reds. And he’s about to make another with not trading Bruce. Didn’t he learn his lesson from not trading chapman last summer?!

I mean seriously he says “he’s valuable”. That’s why we almost taded before spring training for a bucket of baseballs and some sun flower seeds. Dude is a clown

*traded him

This is one of the reasons I hate the QO. We’d see a lot more action on deadline day if it wasn’t in play. Teams would feel more inclined to take an offer rather than sit back and wait for a comp pick.

Bruce has a 13M team option for next year, though, so the Reds would exercise that rather than make him a QO.

“Surprisingly tepid” offers are coming in because other GMs think they are dealing with idiots. After the Chapman debacle, who wouldn’t try lowballing the club. They should have cleaned house when they traded Chapman when his value was the lowest. Ever hear the stock adage of buy low, sell high? Apparently Jocketty and co. haven’t.

I sure hope Ross Ohlendorf can strike out more than a batter per nine innings lol
