how are 4 and 5 “important roster decisions”?
TheMichigan
They are both interesting trade options, and also Oakland needs Reddick pretty badly rn
jd396
How aren’t they?
Jorge Soler Powered
Because both teams stink.

You know, you have a point… there wouldn’t be anyone for big market teams to trample over if it wasn’t for the other 25 backwater teams. God, who’s even heard of half of them?

You and your pal Jorge are the finest of examples of big market fans. So here’s a plan. Let’s get rid of all the MLB teams that AREN’T in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles, Boston and Philadelphia.
That way, mental giants like the two of you can still use your fingers to count the teams and not have to engage those confusing toes.
MLB would last, oh, I’m guessing about 1 or 2 seasons. And then what would the two of you do for entertainment? You’d be forced to sit around in your dingy one room 8th floor walkups with the bugs and rodents and watch roller derby. You’d both probably be happier.

jd was being sarcastic…
jd396
This is probably the weirdest way I’ve ever had someone agree with the exact point I was making.

But those those players are trade targets, so their health is pretty important.
jd396
Anything that affects the back end of anyone’s bullpen can really alter the trade deadline market for relievers… they’re always the most likely to get moved around.

Now Billy, don’t go introducing logic and reason with Jorge. After all, he’s a Cubs fan and they are the most important and influential fans in MLB now that their team has been relevant the last couple seasons. Relevant for what, the first time in 75 years. By all means, defer to the will of Cubs fans and bask in the glow of his wisdom and compassion for Jorge is THE MAN.
