don’t understand why they don’t use Warren in severino old spot. he would only need a couple starts to maybe be stretched out, has sp experience and has been great since returning to the Bronx. would make more sense to have him in rotation and call up young starters to pitch in the pen to limit innings.

AND……. put off Severino’s free agency by 1 year

Not a bad idea. My only concern is screwing up how good Warren has been as a RP. Why mess up a good thing? Though, putting of Serverino’s free agency by one year could be worth it.

Yanks have plenty of options, Tanaka, CC, Pineda, Green, Severino, Warren, Adams, and Enns in Sept. Time to keep seeing the young Bucs perform. I would to see the Yanks put Warren in the rotation next season.

If this turns out to be anything major then he has to be a non-tender candidate. He doesn’t get results with the stuff he has I can’t imagine him dong better with a lesser repertoire.

Eovaldi is what he has been his whole career a guy with a hittable straight as an arrow fastball. Trouble is he never developed any real secondary pitches so it’s just a matter of time until Major League hitters tee off on him. To be honest he should have been converted into a one inning relief pitcher years ago. He’s never going to be anything more than a 5 inning back at the end of the rotation starter. To think otherwise is just dreaming. The Yankees should never resign this one pitch pony.
