Phillies need to plunder Puig from the Dodgers… they need legit talent regardless of issues. He’s young enough, and they get what 3 into prime years out of him at least?
fighterflea
I’d love to see the Phils try for Puig but Reddick’s under-performance coupled with Puig’s improved attitude and performance at OKC make it pretty clear that he will be a September call-up by the Dodgers. Nothing else makes sense for them.
willi
Agree , Make a try for him, see if Phillies Latin players get him to realizes his career and livelihood is on line !

Is Lind no longer a possible trade candidate?
Jeff Todd
M’s are relying on him pretty heavily, though he’s still struggling, and are in contention. Doesn’t seem to be much reason to think he’ll be dealt at this point.
timyanks
jay, arms length? that’s his problem, he broke it.
Atlanta Braves Fan 4 Life
Lol. Funny but poor Jay.

I can’t see the Phillies trading Gomez unless they get completely blown away by an offer. I don’t see that happening at this point. As for Hellickson, I don’t see them trading them unless they get some worthwhile because they are already thin in starting pitching. Eflin & Nola are out for the year. Thompson has gotten lit up thus far in his first few starts. Morgan has struggled. Velasquez has struggled recently. Only Hellickson & Eichoff have been solid. They really don’t have an option to take Hellickson spot in the rotation. They would have to get a starter who could step into the rotation & a player who will help them in the future to deal Hellickson. That could happen, but the Phillies aren’t just going to trade Hellickson for the sake of trading him

I think Brett Gardner to CHC makes a lot of sense right now. He’s an upgrade to Coghlan. Better D. And the Cubs tried to land him for Castro, so they like him. And him and Szczur as your 4th and 5th OFers?? Yes
GarryHarris
I do agree that I can see the Cubs looking for a big acquisition. However, Joe Maddon prefers versatile types without an attitude. The Cubs will not sacrifice the minors either. They are always looking for RPs but, from this list, Brian McCann make the most sense but barely.

Orioles, just get Markakis back please
Gogerty
With Jones going down, it seems so much more of a match.
bravesfan1234
I’m sure the Braves would eat some of the money, but it’s not like Markakis is making an outrageous amount.

Orioles should have never let him go. Good player and fan favorite. Maybe he could energize the team for the stretch run
