I hope the A’s leave O.co, went there once in a California vacation, (where we hit all the parks in the state) and it was easily the most cramped, dysfunctional, and just overall bad quality stadium.

They will be welcome in Nashville

Orlando? Dallas? Hawaii? New Orleans? Indiana? Jacksonville? For A’s?
Stubbs,Jennings can play CF for Baltimore.

No team would be moved to Hawaii, the travel time alone would be a killer for both the incoming teams and the outgoing teams.

MLB are already talking about expanding internationally. I don’t know how that would work either with the long flight times unless they are talking about Mexico.

It was also the cheapest ticket you bought on that trip.
They let you drink beers in the parking lot before the game and bring in your own food, no problem. One of the last places a fan can afford to go and see a lot of games. God bless the Cement Palace.

Wait – you actually want poor people and families at your baseball games?
You can have that riffraff – I’ll take corporate boxes and business men on cell phones any day!

That is one of the great things about A’s fans they are the most racial diverse fans in all of baseball. Go to some of the rich stadiums its like a gap store grand opening.

You definitely went there after 1995.
If only they can tear down that horrifying wall and return it to its former glory:

Cramped? Must have played the Giants/Yankees/Red Sox when you went. No one goes to the As games. How was it cramped? Lol

Sale the A’s to Lacob, Guber et al, successful-eager to win-business group, new venue or else. Beane will surely be offered his job back and with the resources well the A’s will be in the win column again…

I feel for A’s fans, terrible stadium and ownership. The San Jose dream will never be realized so if they want to remain in the Bay Area it will be in Oakland. If they do leave I think Portland would be a great place for them as they would stay in the Al West and would become more of a rival to the Mariners.

Portland does not deserve any pro sports teams, terrible sports town, right up there with Sacramento.
San Jose has more people than San Francisco and Oakland combined, but MLB has treated them like 2nd class city ever since the Giants got their pathetic class A team there. Brooklyn is the same way.
A’s to SJ, Rays to Brooklyn, two absolutely no brainer moves that are not being made, to prove that MLB has no brain.
JT19
How is it a terrible sports town? I can (maybe) see it being bad because of a lack of attractions, but I know that the Portland Trail Blazers (NBA) and Timbers (MLS) have an extremely loyal and energetic fan base.
Also, the only reason I could see Brooklyn not working is because they would be playing third fiddle to the Yankees and Mets. I agree that the Rays need to get out of their stadium, but a move that far north (to NY) is probably not the most ideal spot. It would be hard for them to build a fan base with the Yanks and Mets already being established there. It only kind of worked for the Brooklyn Nets because they weren’t actually moving that far (Jersey to Brooklyn) that they were going to a whole new fan base.

Dude, have you been to or seen a Portland Trailblazers or Portland Timbers game?
Two of the strongest and most dedicated fan bases in professional sports!
MLB and 81 home games is a whole different animal but with PDX going over 3m people, it could be a very viable location for MLB.

Wow the white sox suck!

Athletics in Montreal.
Done deal

A’s are staying in Oakland, as they should. As San Francisco continues to price families out, more and more are coming to Oakland. It is currently one of the hottest real estate markets in the country for both personal and business. Manfred said it would be a mistake to move the A’s out given how viable a city Oakland has become.

Portland, rabid sports fans. Remember the Blazers attendance numbers for the old building. Ten years of max … 12,666.
