Please no! As Steve wrote, his offense is mediocre and his defense is bad.
What does catcher need to be? A good defender, and especially a good pitch framer, and Hundley is neither. But Pena and Joseph are each excellent framers, offense be damned.
Sheesh, Dan. Look at your pitcher’s needs and go with the catcher that has the proper skills.
Hundley has none.

Not that RBIs matter much, but how is it possible that Caleb Joseph batted 132 times last season and had zero RBIs?
notagain27
You would have to ask Caleb that question because he did it. I believe it is a modern day record? It is a amazing feat!

He even had two hits with guys in scoring position I think

Oh Hundley. I remember back in 2014 when Miller was pitching in a tied game in the 9th and he missed a fastball down the middle and Yunel Escobar scored on the passed ball. Good times.
davidcoonce74
You must have your years or players mixed up because That didn’t happen in 2014.
davidcoonce74
Oops. Never mind. Found it! You’re correct. Although I can’t verify it was right down the middle
tsmizzzle
It was in a position that any competent human being should’ve caught lol

They need somebody. Hundley seems like the best option for a 1 year deal. Anybody better than him will want more years.

The pickings are pretty slim in the FA catching market. Just about everyone except Wieters and Ramos are backup catchers. Rosario always had a solid stick, but his defense is just plain scary.

No love for Dioner…
