Thank god. I was worried we were going to lose abad it’s a weight off my mind knowing he’ll still be there next year
carol
Abad is really bad.
24TheKid
Who is abad?
BaltimOrioles2016
Fernando Abad.
Connorsoxfan
He’s Abad pitcher.
jtworsley
He’s certainly not agood

Yankees could take a chance on Worley. Has experience in the AL East and could be a decent 4th or 5th starter
KermitJagger
I liked the Vanimal a lot, I though he should have been starting over Locke in 2015. We have a number of 4/5 starter internal options but I wouldn’t mind seeing him as our 5. Tough competitor and by all accounts a good teammate. And he can go on long stretches of being quite good.

Actually, Vanimal has a tendency to speak his mind. He did it in Philly, Pgh and Balt. I am not sure about Minn, but I live near Phil and Balt and am a Pirate fan. He has burnt some bridges along the way.
twins33
The only thing I remember is he took a shot at the MN coaches for not fixing a flaw in his delivery that apparently the Pirates found right away.

I thought Abad was good watching him pitch for the Twins, he just fell apart.
DT.J.B.
All former Twins. Worley and Manship were awful here.
TheMichigan
Manship got non tenderd? Surprising
Polish Hammer
At that price I was surprised too, he’s definitely worth that price.
datrain021
I was more surprised they weren’t able to trade him. Indians have some good upcoming pen arms and have a 40-man crunch so it made some sense to move on from him. Plus his WHIP last year wasn’t all that great.
gomerhodge71
Holaday can give a team depth with his pitching skills. He had closer-type stats in 2016.
MatthewBaltimore23
Bryan Holaday is a catcher not reliever.
Twins_guyTJZ
It was a joke. Holaday pitched a scoreless inning of relief against the Twins in a blowout game last summer.
GoRav114
Hate the Orioles got rid of Worley over a few million. A 3.5 era in the AL East is decent and 86 IP pretty decent sample size. I bet he gets picked up quick
bhoops
I feel like in Worley and Manship, the Mariners could have gotten these players for free in what they hope to get out of prospects Whalen and Povse in the trade of Alex Jackson. It’s not to say Jackson is a great prospect, but if the Mariners want pitching depth they could have sought help in the non-tender list. Neither Whalen or Povse offer high ceiling.
strostro
Andrew Romine should’ve been non-tendered by the Tigers
petersdylan36
Vance Worley looks like a good fit in San Diego.
davidcoonce74
Worley definitely looks like a Padres pitcher. Manship too, if he can still start. I know the stuff is underwhelming but he looks like a fifth starter to me.
