maybe there will be a season where the dodgers don’t put 20 players on the DL in a given season… maybe

Every team has a ton of injuries on a yearly bases. The great teams rise above.

Not every team signs guys like Mccarthy,Kazmir, and HIll. I mean those are very high risk signings as far as injury goes.
Connorsoxfan
Ethier is also a walking injury hazard at this point.
BlueSkyLA
Why? Think he’s prone to breaking his leg again?
jmi1950
Tim Wakefield was discussing the Red Sox. SP’s on a ST telecast yesterday. He noted that in 2004 Pedro, Schilling, Lowe, Wakefield & Arroyo made 158 starts.

In all fairness, the Dodgers did indeed place the most players (24) on the DL last season.
sox91
Maybe they should replace their athletic training or strength and conditioning staff if they haven’t already.
AGAVE
And Seager is young
Senioreditor
Maybe the Dodgers should stop commenting on the severity of there players injuries. When they do they’re always wrong. No team underestimates the severity of injuries more than the Dodgers.

Good luck to ondrusek. Like he said tommy John in his position has got to be really tough. Wishing him the best

John Farrell has a shoulder maintenance program? What does he do? Put them in as pinch runners and put them on the DL and that’s his program?
johnsilver
Oh wizened one…. Boston has had in place a shoulder strengthening program for all of it’s pitchers since the beginning of the Epstein days.
A case of lack of knowledge before poor joke here
lucienbel
As a Red Sox fan, I found that joke pretty funny.
johnsilver
That poster does not generally make jokes that remember. Some do here.
I noticed this on ESPN Boston earlier today also:
“Scott Lauber
ESPN Staff Writer
Tyler Thornburg was taken aback in January by “big list of a ton of exercises” in Red Sox’s shoulder strengthening program. With Brewers, he said pitchers did only 5-6 exercises. Rigorous routine has slowed reliever’s progress enough that he admits to checking calendar “every other day” to make sure he can be ready for Opening Day. ”
Seems there was another pitcher they acquired from outside the organization who had some trouble with the shoulder strengthening program. Believe it might have been implemented (after thinking more) after the Matt Clement shoulder woes back in ’05-06.

i 2nd that motion.
largeunit
Lighten up, oh tightassed one.

Gray is nothing more than Rich Harden 2.0; Great potential but can’t stay healthy.
