Franklin Guitrerez got injured
beauvandertulip
They probably don’t have the information yet. Look on twitter if you are really interested.

It seems like there’s a lot of injuries this year, but I’m pretty sure it’s just because they shorter the 15 DL to 10 days. Definitely a good change in baseball.

It definitely looks as if teams are more likely to put a player on the DL now rather than wait out the injury. I am happy to see this. This was definitely the right call by MLB.

This soon? I should’ve taken the under on Gutierrez.

Is it just me or does there seem to be a lot more injuries than normal for this early in the season?
bigguccisosa300
because of the 10 day Dl. i like it so far

When guys are hitting the DL for “The Flu”, it’s a new world of injuries.

With the 15-day DL being reduced to 10 days this year, teams are far more liberal with their use of it.

What is going to happen to the concussion DL then? Wasn’t that 10 days in years past? Is that only 5 days now or is it still 10 days?
Dookie Howser, MD
Concussion DL is 7 days. The way it worked under the 15 DL was that after 14 days on the concussion list, you were automatically transferred to the 15-day DL. I haven’t heard anything that would change the way it works with the 10-day DL

I am trying to picture a simulated game for a closer.
Sit around for 2.5 hours before getting up and throwing intensely against 3-4 simulated batters?

I saw Posey get beaned when he was at San Jose (high A). He was definitely cussed that time. He was out for 2-3 weeks IIRC. He seemed to have bounced back fairly effectively that time..
