The Phillies have like 6-7 prospects who should see their debut in the next few months. Future is exciting.

For sure

Jason, any Orioles coming in future articles.

I still think that the Diamond Backs would be better off moving Marte back to 2nd base where he is much better defensively.
Mike_Davis
He has no place on the team right now, unless an injury occurs or both Drury & Owings stop hitting. And its a little concerning he has shown little to no “pop” in the hitter friendly PCL.
24TheKid
Oh it should be more than a little concerning, he had 0 pop when he was in the majors with Seattle, and he had no pop in the minors with Seattle. So if you were expecting the next Lindor with him you were way off, but I doubt anyone did. His ceiling is .300/.325/350 slash line which could be an ok lead off guy if he can steal bases.

How do you pronounce Dziedzic’s name? Is it like Szczur where the lead letter is silent?
Zied-Zick then? Or Duh-Zied-Zick?
lesterdnightfly
Click on the name. His Baseball Reference profile comes up, and it includes pronunciation.
This is true of all players, even hard-to-figure names like Matt Szczur, Marc Rzepczynski, and Eli Grba — even Adam Jones and Seth Smith…..
TheMichigan
So it’s “jeh-jick” guess I was way off.
tylerall5
I always wonder how they get these pronunciations with those names. I would have never of guessed that’s who you said it.

Nicky Delmonico has gotta be better than Asche. He’s had chance after chance to underperform.
fluffhead
No doubt. Not only has Asche been terrible production-wise, his body language has also been poor and he has constantly been complaining to the umps. I can’t wait until he’s released so another kid gets a chance.
sportsguy24/7
When are the Mariners going to give this kid Sam Gaviglio a chance (AAA Tacoma)? He’s been solid for the last few years. The kid gets tons of ground balls and just eats innings. He dominated Venezuela in the WBC and that lineup was pretty damn good.
24TheKid
I can’t see him doing better than Miranda or Gallardo who have both been really good at times so far and really bad at times.
jdgoat
I know he’s not “knocking down the door” because of his age but one guy I can’t wait to see is Vladdy Jr. He’s raking so far this season
dhbarnwell
Saw Delmonico in Spring Training. he looked Major league ready.
dhouse42
Wouldn’t Strahm (or perhaps even Mike Minor) get the chance to start over Dziedzic?
