I’ll definitely miss him! Not that great or flashy of a player, just a great guy and a gritty player.

Agree
And it will be interesting to see if some coaching and/or luck resulting in a bit of fairly regular playing time might result in a bit of a change with regard to that playing too. He’s strikes me as a Casey Blake/Mike Blowers type – nothing overly amazing, but very serviceable once finally shown some confidence and given a shot
Has 4 years of team control left too so if he doesn’t get it with the BoSox, maybe someone else will hopefully give him that chance
Dan Gorgone
Also, Brock Holt is supposedly dealing with vertigo, so picking up d’Arnaud makes even more sense. Hope BrockStar can get healthy.

He will get DFAd as soon as PD Panda or Holt returns

Quite possible but it also could mean that Josh Rutledge is on a very short leash.
pztpaco34
Good for him. Hopefully he gets to contribute on the major league level.

Well obviously all those who thought Chase d’Arnauld wasn’t worthy of any MLB spot are proven wrong. Chase might not be a great player but I’m still in shock that the Braves cut him and kept Bonafacio. I wish Chase d’Arnauld the best of luck.
darkstar61
Wait a minute, you would cut Bonafacio and that truly amazing .325 OPS? What is wrong with you?!
I mean seriously, it’s almost like you don’t even remember back in 2011 when he actually hit okay. All the Braves need to do is figure out a way to get his BAbip back to around 380 and we got gol… err, copper, baby!
ziggyzigs
I mean seriously, it’s almost like you don’t even remember that 2011 is six years ago, and that Boni is now 32, and that he hasn’t even been remotely good since 2013. Chase d’Arnaud brought grit, and has a .360 career average when pinch hitting. Boni is awful.

They’re joking
Should Have Acquired Dylan Cease
Good, don’t have to see him again! Sox fans will see soon how much Braves fans apparently overrate such a player of his caliber.
ghost of harambe
Doubt it. He’s only there until holt is back, he may even be gone sooner

Well in the other thread you let us know the guy you think holds the most value out of the possible options the Braves had available is …Ryan Howard – yeah, the guy who has posted a (-)2.2WAR the last 5 seasons (and of all the hitters with at least 2K PA from 2012-2016, that makes him *dead last* in value produced)
So you kind of proved beyond all doubt that your opinion is the one which shouldnt be taken seriously with regards to what holds some type of value to a rebuilding team
Should Have Acquired Dylan Cease
When the **** did i say Howard holds real value or are you just another delusional fan who puts words in peoples mouths? I did not tell the Braves to sign Howard. I just gave their point of view which makes sense because Howard has power and the team is desperate for it out of the bench. But keep riding the Chase train because apparently the organization knows less than you. To answer your question though, neither provides any true value, but I will keep repeating myself and will keep my joy for Chase’s departure.

I’ll definitely miss him. He was the best the Braves had to offer. (But only musically.)

I love this move for the Red Sox.
