Utley is toast.
sufferforsnakes
…..without butter.

They say they need him for clubhouse chemistry… good, pay him what he is owed for the rest of the year and keep him in the clubhouse by making him an assistant bench coach. Free up the roster. I love Chase but…
greatdaysport
Make him a coach.
costergaard2
In ’98, the NYY did that with Dale Sveum. It ended up launching his coaching career…
therealbdavis
I wish they did that with Uribe. But I agree entirely. Chase would be a fantastic coach especially by Roberts side. Some guys can’t let go of the game until they’re left with no choice.
Vinny Time
Kazmir can take all the time he needs.

Price will be back when the weather gets warmer. So too will the Red Sox bats. Mediocre spring will turn into a hot summer for the entire Bosox team.
chesteraarthur
I thought it was birds, not bats, that flew south for the winter.
thegreatcerealfamine
Only thing hot this summer for the Sox is the mustard Panda puts on his pretzels!

Another hot topic will be the unrest in the clubhouse with the prima Donna’s and no Papi to hold them together. Watching Farrell do the two step will remind all fans that their former catcher isn’t the only ex-MLBer that can go directly to Dancing with The Stars.

Do you actually watch baseball or just troll this site?

Your grammatical choices on “prima donna’s” are perplexing

I think it’s gotta be a given to keep Taylor and Bellinger in the bigs when injured players return.. Gonzo needs to hit the DL and get right. Utley DFA when Logan is ready to return..

So glad 2 outfields break in the same game.

fowler missed piscotty so much, he joined him in the trainers room

“NOW” is the time for Cardinals GM to trade for that star clean up hitter with Fowler and Piscoty out. He could hopefully keep the team a float until their return. It doesn’t hurt to shoot for the best!!! Go get Trout for whatever it takes. Make a package deal of players and cash for Trout and extra players! Who knows, they may even eat part of his salary and throw in Pujols. They’d get out from under Pujols massive contract for half and free up their money. Release Cardinals dead weight!! Quit hoping slightly above average players to play at a consistently above average MLB level. Revamp the team now instead of July as he is expected to do so.
davbee
Trout isn’t going anywhere, so cool your jets.
Cardinals17
He may be. There’s a lot of chatter that the Angels aren’t going anywhere for years because of their payroll, current players contracts they are currently paying off after they are gone, depletion of their minor league system and aging players who are not worth the contracts they are signed to. Yes, the chatter is; The best player in baseball is stuck on a team that will never get to the play-offs. Should they perchance, they don’t have the pitching to survive. Should the Angles receive the right offer, the right amount of freeing up their payroll and shore up their minor league prospects, they have as much as said they would trade in the case stated. I’ve always liked the Angles, ever since Gene Autry was the owner. However, under this ownership, while meaning well, tried to buy a world championship years back by buying aging free agent superstars to go along with their own up and coming stars. Trout being one of them. Well planned, but it never worked and the Angels have paid for it since!! Yes, Trout can and should be traded. To build the Angels system up and current team. Plus, to let Trout, the best player in Baseball, enjoy what it feels like to play in a World Series!!!!
chesteraarthur
Even if trout was going somewhere, the cardinals do not have the type of players to pull off a trade for him.
thegreatcerealfamine
Talk about wishful thinking..and they have never hinted about any trade and are on record.
