As a person that lives in the IVC school district, let me say that Zach McAllister is the pride and joy of Chillicothe IL. He comes back to the HS to talk to/instruct current athletes on occasion, and is a pretty classy guy. We are all happy that he has had a pretty successful career at this point. Having a great 2017 so far, hopefully he keeps it up.
Great article, I love to read about these behind-the-scenes decision processes.

This is fantastic content. Thanks for keeping it going.
Priscilla Oppenheimer is one of the best people ever to work in professional baseball, and Damon’s doing her proud. Anyone who’s not familiar with the story of Matt LaChappa and Priscilla Oppenheimer should definitely Google them.

These are fun artices.
Just spent time on Baseball-Reference and it’s crazier to see that none of these players netted the Yankees anything that was of long term value. Berkman was a bust in NY for his 2 months, and Kearns didn’t do anything. They had Chris Stewart who played good backup catcher for a season and a half, but only have lack luster PTBNM Kyle Haynes left.
We’ll see if Betances is traded, but don’t expect it since he’s so valuable at a very reasonable salary.

Kennedy was the key piece in the trade that got then Granderson. Remember that these guys ended up being relievers, relievers value didn’t become high until this past season.
