6 weeks is quite a bit different from 3 months, even with the spring added time for rehab. I’d be hesitant to take the easier heard opinion over the longer opinion out of safety. He could be ready in 2 months but that doesn’t mean he wouldn’t re-injure himself. 3 months sounds more realistic anyway, I just see it ending up worse.

The Mets org really knows how to either mistreat their pitchers (poor conditioning?), or pick injury susceptible pitchers. So is there some kind of betting pool as to the next Mets starter to hit the DL (again)?
