Hopefully the Yankees don’t sign Padilla, but this sounds like a Cashman type deal.

If Padilla still has that kind of life in his fastball, the Marlins should look to sign him. He wont be that expensive. Plus, he will help sell tickets to the Nicaraguan community in Miami. They aired Dodgers games in Nicaragua just because Padilla was starting, so he’s bound to have fans in Miami.

My gf is Nicaraguan and her father used to watch Dodgers games just to watch Padilla pitch. So there is definitely truth to what you’re saying.
