Sorry about Walsh.
That leaves pitchers Perdomo, Biagini and Bowman and position players Rickard and Goeddel as the remaining rule 5 guys.
Biagini and Bowman are pitching really well for Toronto and St Louis, and Goeddel has turned things around after an awful start in Philly, while Rickard really came to earth after an excellent start.
Perdomo is in a precarious position, but the others all look like productive players for their new teams.

Brewers also have Zach Jones hanging out there as a rule 5 pick from the Twins. He’s been on the 60 day DL, but should start a rehab soon.
FOmeOLS
You’re absolutely right! I forgot about Jones, thanks!

Daniel Stumpf? Suspended 80 games with philly
FOmeOLS
Yes but I’m not sure of his status when he returns. He may not have enough roster time to keep his rule 5 status when his suspension is over. So I left him off of my “remaining Rule 5” list.
mikeyst13
He only needs to be active for 90 days so even with the 80 game suspension if he comes directly back to the big league roster I believe he still has enough time. I also think that if he was at the point where he can no longer possibly be active for those 90 days that the Phils would have been required to already offer him back.

This upsets me but hopefully Stearns attempts to get him back and stash him in AAA for the remainder of the season.
mikeyst13
He has shown absolutely nothing to make it worth keeping him around. He was going to be the odd man out sooner or later and Ramirez could end up as a pretty decent pick up and that meant someone had to go. Keeping him on the roster was also blocking guys like Rivera and Reed from coming back up and getting some ABs.

He’s AAAA why do you want him? Just curious, what about him would be worth the trouble of “getting him back to stash him at AAA” – also its not really plausible they would cut a Rule V and then attempt to trade for him again.

SD purchased Blash after designating him and offering him back to Seattle just this season, so re-acquiring Walsh is not entirely implausible. However, I agree that he may ultimately be AAAA.

The AAA club already has a log jam and guys aren’t getting enough playing time.
