Yes! This should help the Giants division problems!

Good signing. It seems to have less to do with Hairston (who isn’t likely to be on the DL for long), and more to do with management not wanting to rely on Sellers or Kennedy.
when he was playing last year he filled in nicely. glad to see him back in dodger blue… he’s going to help us out at some point.

Got to admire a player like Miles. He’s always had to fight for a job, and pretty much always landed one, on the basis of scrap and hustle. He runs out every ground ball like it was the bottom of the 9th in a World Series game.

after miles plays a couple games @ triple a the dodgers should dfa kennedy and call up miles to take his spot on the 40 man roster.

I’m glad. The bench desperately needed another guy who can bat right handed. Kennedy should start packing his bags.

WB Miles, but what was Kennedy signed for again?
BlueSkyLA
Too much, as it turns out.
Kyle MacGregor
850K.

I remember when Mattingly had Aaron Miles batting third in his lineup.

Totally cool to see the team rewarding a guy who really came through last season! Would be nice to see him brought up, if only for a few games. Congrats, Miles!

Definitely an improvement over Adam Kennedy. Still not sure why that signing was made in the first place (along with Rivera and MacDougal).
flakLAblue
forgot Coffey?
thegrayrace
Meh. Coffey was a mediocre signing, too… but at least Coffey put up OK numbers last year.
Really, Capuano and Hairston were the only two signings I liked this last offseason.
I really didn’t like the Mark Ellis signing at the time. To be honest, it seemed like a huge overpay to me for a guy coming off of a .248/.288/.346 season. I mean, those are pretty abysmal numbers.
I hope he can maintain the pace he’s been on so far.

Mark Ellis? Not a bad signing…
