I’d love to see the Nat’s go BTTW and trade for another quality/front line starter. They really need to go for it this year. I suppose they should bolster their bullpen firs though. Trade for Herrera and Cain then clear out the farm entirely go after an Archer/Foltynewicz type.
thegreatcerealfamine
They don’t have what it would take.
chesteraarthur
“Archer/Foltynewicz type” there is a pretty big difference in quality and value between those two pitchers…
metseventually 2
Seriously. People think way too highly of Foltynewicz.
erbs50
well he knows his own body
MB923
Hahahahaha
Zach725
Folty can be an ace when he is on his game, when he is off he is crap. He threw a gem against the Brewers and had all his pitches working. Then there are days when you gets tattooed.
Priggs89
It’s just delusional Braves fans. Normal people don’t think that highly of him.
hodor 3
He doesn’t have the ceiling of an ace.
BravesBoi
He doesn’t have the ceiling of an ace, but he has a ceiling of a pretty good mid rotation guy. I wouldn’t group him in with Archer, but if he gets it figured out, his stuff is good enough
Zach725
I said he has the potential to be an ace, do I ever think he will be one? No. He showed why he could be one in Milwaukee, but he never does it consistently.
jd396
Maybe they could clear out the farm to go for a Trout/Bourjos type
2EggsOdorizzi
Dead.
I Believe We Can Win
No no they need a darvish/richard type. Free agent at seasons end. Should have just enough to get a deal done.

The Nationals scored 52 runs in Ross’s three starts this year – he has one win. Also couldn’t get through five innings, even when the Nats were on their way to 23 runs two days ago.

Wonders if they are trying to sneak another year of control in

Chalk this up to Dusty messing up another young pitcher. He has no clue how to handle a pitching staff.
kil0
Yup. Just ask Mark Prior. Or Kerry Wood. And I ain’t a Cubs fan. He Alo have 29 instances where his Giants’ pitchers threw 130+ pitches in 1999. Unconscienable!
padresfan
Ask the reds too
Matt latos was never the same
I Believe We Can Win
Homer bailey too. Oh and edinson volquez. Dusty baker really ruined that whole reds pitching staff.
I Believe We Can Win
Tragically, I called this the minute joe ross was sent to washington. Dusty Baker was gonna ruin that poor kids arm like he did wood prior latos volquez bailey. Im not happy I was right.
