LOL over Chad Durbin being a notable loss.
Bryant Brookover
Really, none of those losses are notable.

Carlos Santana was not a offseason extension, that happened yesterday

Close enough.

Josh Judy was probably a more notable loss than De La Cruz. Tribe lost him on waivers to the Reds. At least pitched in the bigs last year (more of a loss than Burns too).
Really shouldn’t say the Tribe spent $15M this winter either since they didn’t sign Kotchman til after they knew they wouldn’t have to pay Carmona (on the restricted list so wasn’t going to earn any money) and they did restructure his deal this “offseason” so that should be the amount put down, not $7M.
Also, the Tribe got $1.25M from the Rockies to pay part of Slowey’s salary.

I still have to pause to remind myself who Roberto Hernandez is. Fausto such a cooler name.

that’s probably why he got caught, “hey, this sounds like an awesome name, let’s look him up. Uh oh, says here his name is Roberto Hernandez. I knew it was too good to be true.”

Indians keep making the same mistake over and over with Sizemore. Jimenez is a huge risk. Lowe is just an innings eater. Yet they are so close if management would be more patient. A great nucleus with Masterson, Santana, Astrubal and lots of good young talent. Sounds like the Blue Jays. Then they go and give up two top Minor League pitchers for Jimenez. Their latest mistake ? Chris Perez obviously not a top closer, Pestano is better. Oh well.

How have the indians made the same mistake “over and over” with Sizemore? The first deal he signed was a good one. I can understand this second deal being a mistake but hardly making a mistake “over and over”.
