I could see Bowden being stretched out and brought back to Chicago as a starter.

Good luck with that. He and Bucholz were supposed to arrive together as starters. Bowden had one good year at Single A in 2006 but had to be switched to the bullpen due to ineffectiveness.

Believe it or not, Reynolds would have some trade value to teams making a playoff push. You can’t deny the power he brings when he makes contact. You can easily question his ability to make contact. Also, his contract is desirable since he’s headed toward arbitration and the team trading for him would be under no obligation beyond 2012.
