Have the Nationals ever heard of “no trade backs”… or does that only happen in the elementary school lunchroom?
Jeff Todd
Well, they did get A.J. Cole in a trade-back, so apparently playground rules have been suspended between these clubs!

The heir apparent to Span in CF for three months of a 34yo player having a bad year? Yeah, no. That’s not going to happen. Nice try if true, Billy, but no sale.

I just hope the Reds hurry up and trade Cueto now instead of waiting until the deadline.
oh Hal
Stark wrote a column ignoring all sorts of players who might be traded so he could trash Ramirez and Krod. So very ESPN of him.

While the A’s and Nats have matched up in trades in the past, they currently do not. There’s plenty of trade-to-contend or trade-to-restock the A’s could make, but the Nats simply don’t have the pieces other teams do to get Clippard or Zobrist.
Billy Burns sure is making Beane look like a genius though!

Taylor, Giolito, Turner gets them about any player on the market, let alone 2 rentals.

Yes, that’s why I said they don’t match – unless they want to overpay with those guys – which they don’t.

Not interested in any trade if the big return is Taylor. His defense was absolutely terrible in every game I’ve seen him play, which is admittedly only about five. He looked lost.

FYI – The link above leads to the wrong Michael Taylor.
