I would tender contracts to both Chacin and Hellickson. The reason being is that TLR wants to win in 2016 and the alternatives in the rotation are much young. Not saying that Chacin and Hellickson are above replacement pieces, but they should be able to soak up innings until the young guys establish themselves. For a team that has a pitching problem, we can’t afford to let quality guys go, plus the dbacks should be good on cash next season given the several “undo Kevin tower” moves that he made.

Re : COLLETTI
For me it was his SF player signings that didn’t sit well with most. Uribe was the one bright spot in that group.
The Manny Ramirez deal worked for PR and did provide some mental bench and on field upside results that can’t be overlooked!

Chacin and Hellickson are two very stellar pieces with high upside. They could make amazing trade chips at the deadline in July with good performances. I would decline Collmenter option and I would pursue a David Hernandez reunion. I think that David Hernandez is going to be one of the best buy low options on the market this offseason.
