Ully
So they “Stroped” just short of going to arbitration?
gocincy
This is terrible, just terrible.
halos101
sometimes jokes are so bad yet they still make you laugh. that was one lol
Ully
I admit it was bad, the interesting thing about this is Theo has yet to have a Cub player go to arbitration in his tenure with the Cubs.
jbcubs15
I don’t think he has ever gone to arbitration ?
SamFuldsFive
That’s not even how you pronounce his name, making the dumb joke even worse.
petersdylan36
So spring training starts soon… are there still players in the arbitration process? How close to the season starting would this have to be settled?
bigpapijuicer
The hearings would take place before Spring Training if they don’t settle.
davidcoonce74
Arbitration cases are settled the same day they’re heard.

Strop is getting paid less than Hector Rondon, which is kinda lame, all things considered.
JKB 2
Why is that lame? Hector is getting 5.8 and was closing ahead of Strop and Strop agreed to 5.5. So how is it lame?
