Excited to see Suter who hopefully is a late bloomer. Dude throws some heat.
fisher40
He does not throw heat lol. He can barely hit 90 with his fastball.
hamelin4mvp
Haha – You’re right. I was thinking of Jacob Barnes.
statmaster96
It has begun.
gormanthomasrules
This was overdue, honestly.
Broxton has to sink or swim now. Lewis Brinson is very, very close.
bastros88
he’s gonna sink

It’s 2017

I’m tired of articles constantly using the word “slashed”. With last year’s numbers, a pitcher feared slashing their wrist using a Hulk Hogan feathered via more than they did Nieuweinhuis and his bat.
OldishCubsFan
Yeah slashed implies he did well.
mmddyyyy
I believe “slashed” is used here to preface the .209/.324/.389 “triple slash line”, not to imply that he did well
Jeff Todd
When you’re writing about slash lines 15 times a day, it gets tiresome to phrase it the same way every time. So, I try to mix it up. I’d guess “slashing” is about my least-used option, but I don’t see any harm in it.

He was just keeping a seat warm, there was no way he was going to stay on the MLB roster all season. Wish him luck elsewhere or if he accepts an assignment to AAA.
KCelts
He ought to accept the assignment in AAA. Not sure many MLB teams have room for someone who started 2 for 30…

I was wondering when they were going to make a move. I’m not as high on Suter. I would have liked to see Andrew Barbosa come up.
BrewBucksVikes
They brought up Suter because he is on the 40 man and can send him back down when Garza is activated.
