From a business perspective, I’d think focusing on ad revenue would be a lot more lucrative than collecting a small fee from some users to avoid ads.
I think one thing that could draw in a lot of new users would be a “GM Chair” weekly plug.. have one of their “experts” pick a team and propose trades to improve the team.
Fans love speculative trades.. and maybe it would start some….. rumors 🙂

If ads created more revenue per individual user than the ad-free subs do – I can’t imagine a reason to offer the subs. From a business prospective, that doesn’t make sense.
