Theres a chance that Billy Beane can at least get “something” for Travis Buck. The Yankees would have been interested before they got Randy Winn.
I really don’t see how Inglett and Estrada will fit in but you have to take gambles right?

Yeah, he never got the shot in the bigs he deserved. I don’t think he got more than 100 AB’s in any season in the bigs.

He turned into a AAAA guy overnight, good power, poor plate discipline, so-so defense.
Jake Humphrey
He seems as if he’s improved his plate discipline, based off of his AA numbers from last year.

And as a Dodger fan, I’d have to say he didn’t “deserve” any sort of shot in the big leagues. By all accounts, this was a guy who thought he was God’s gift to the game and to the Dodgers. A 6’4″ shortstop with tremendous raw power, it didn’t take him long to be moved off the position due to his lack of range and really, a lack of thinking he actually had to work at the game and stay in shape. So the tool were still there for him to be an above-average third baseman, but he simply expected his tools to get him to the big leagues.
Hope he invested that then-record $2.25 million signing bonus wisely.

Buck should stop crying lol. Can he blame beane for getting outfielders? Buck never became the player the A’s thought he was gonna be.
I would still keep him in Triple AAA and I mean it doesnt mean he cant be traded and it doesnt mean he cant win a spot in the major league roster.
He is gonna have to prove himself in spring training

Make that “if [Washburn] doesn’t receive an offer from Seattle or expand his list, the 35-year-old hurler may retire.”
I’d say with Hudson inking for $5m, and Smith saying they’re about tapped out on payroll, the Twins are officially out on Jarrod. And that’s a good thing…
