Dear Chase Utley,
Please keep slumping. 1st place is fun.

Cliff Lee is available.

How not to manage a ballclub: Trade away all your farm talent for major leaguers and then waaaaay overpay those players.

scottandwtb , Who is way over paid? just wondering.

Not to beat a dead horse…but trading Cliff Lee for second rate prospects instead of keeping him here to form a great rotation (Halladay, Lee, Hamels) for one year and then taking the two compensatory picks for Lee was one of the worst trades ever conceived. Those two picks are far more valuable than Aumont, Ramirez and Gillies who have been bad to awful players this year and were considered second rate prospects before this year. Aumont was projected to be a bottom rotation starter type and he’s the best of the bunch. Ruben set the tone for a down year with this move, apparently designed to help Pat Gillick’s old team and nothing more.

Ryan Howard, given his recent extension. And this is coming from a Phillies fan who enjoys having him on the team and appreciates what he has done for us.
