It doesn’t make sense for the Braves to trade Jurrjens right now, but only because Medlen is going to miss next season. If Medlen was healthy Jurrjens would kind of be the odd man out, if only because he is going to get an arbitration raise next season, and he should be able to net the Braves the solid outfielder they need. Lowe is probably unmovable, Hudson signed a heavily discounted deal to stay near his home so it would be a dick move to trade him, and Hanson is too cheap and good to trade. Kawakami is probably tradeable, but the Braves shouldn’t expect anything but salary relief in return.
It’ll be talked about this offseason: Jurrjens for Rasmus. I think the deal would benefit both teams and I’d love to get that one done in some way, shape, or form.
Anybody that believes Jurrjens is top of the rotation starter is just fooling themselves.
Jair Jurrjens- Career: 6.38 K9, 3.24 BB9, 45.0 GB%, 4.30 xFIP
Jeff Niemann- Career: 6.50 K9, 3.14 BB9, 42.4 GB%, 4.50 xFIP
Guess Niemann is a #1/2 pitcher too then huh?
Let me know when Niemann posts single-season ERA’s in the mid-threes and then the mid-two’s. I know ERA is flawed, but pitchers have more control over it than some believe.
Why would the Braves trade Jurrjens? And if they did, it would take more to get him, then it did for the Phillies to get Halladay.
Simple: They have a surplus of starting-quality arms, he’s due a big raise via arbitration, and they need another productive outfielder.
Someone framed me. I only asked two of SPANdemonium’s questions that were posted and there were 3. So someone is obviously trolling.
Span that just shows how popular you are with the MLBTR analysts.
I guess. If you guys love me that much just say it, no need to pretend to be me.
I love you almost that much. You just add a little too much punctuation sometimes.
Agree about the puncuation. But what am I supposed to do? I have to make it clear how I’m trying to express my comment right!!!!!!!!!!!!
While we’re on the subject of things to improve you, why not change your name back to just SPANdemonium?
Good idea. I have to see if I can. If it works I’m going to sign a ball for you and personalize it. Yes?

You mean the Braves will talk and the Cardinals will look at his 4.30 xFIP and hang up

If any pitcher is traded, it will be Kawakami.
“Can Tulo be had in the offseason?”….
LOL. Sure, send the Rox that guy named Pujols and $30 million.
Other way around, send Tulo and half your farm system, plus $30 million for Pujols.
Apparently 25% of people who took the NL West poll are Dodger fans! 😛
Doubt it. People love enjoying themselves with sick, sad jokes.
