$4-8M for Thome? Seems high. I think he’s willing to sign for $1.5M again if someone can give him the confidence he’ll get AB’s. It’s not like he did anything this year he didn’t do last year to inflate his value…
When he signed this year he said he did because he wanted AB’s. Does that change next year? Is the DH market much different? Is his value much higher? No, no, no.
Having seen Adeiny Hechevarria play many a times this summer, I will say this…He has made a fantastic general adjustment to America, new people, and a new language. His ceiling though is very high, which is why I wouldn’t worry. I’m not worrying and pretty much his best skill is his defense which IS Major League Ready, but his bat is coming. He has a tendency to not hit pitches inside and wait for the low outside pitch which is what he almost always hits. He has good platae coverage but again, he is raw. He is in AA but I’d say he still is a little bit away from the Majors simply because he needs to get more AB’s because again, he is very raw when it comes to hitting. I have a lot of video and sometime, I’m going to review them and send them to Mike, but just from seeing him a ton this summer, theres nothing that tells me that he is a bust, in fact, I would say he has perenial all-star potential. He is also a good buddy of mine and an awesome guy!
Seriously, who allowed some of these people on the chat today? Seriously, trade H. Ram? He’s under contract for another 4 years.

Because instead they believed Boras about Johnny’s 23 year old body
man I remember when I could get 3-4 questions answered awhile back now I can’t even get 1, this site has really blown up.
