According to Olney, the Angels are NOT setting deadlines.

I think the Angels are going to make out very well this offseason. Bell can be an obtainable option via trade and we already know they have interest in Crawford, Beltre, Werth and Soriano. Now that Boston has added one big bat, Beltre is likely gone which is good news for Angels fans.
jt24
true, but this also helps oakland as they still have that contract on the table with beltre so if the angels offer doesnt compete with theirs beltre is as good as an Athletic

True that. Regardless the Angels are one of only a handful of teams able to get what they want. I hope they can build a strong team for next season.
jt24
so do I. I am hoping for crawford and a beltre/soriano/Heath Bell (trade)

Bell seems like he’d be a better addition than Soriano. They both are lights out, though.
jt24
yes, both have pros and cons

I don’t know man, I just hope that the Takahashi signing isn’t the biggest offseason move for the Angels. Imagine if they lose out on the Crawford and Beltre sweepstakes, which could very well happen? Next season would look really ugly…

I bet the marlins want that cabrera trade back.

That’s pretty low of Votto to start that One Million Year contract rumor about himself.
